Housing
DKB offer a wide range of accommodation in the Bournemouth area.
We provide supported housing for single homeless people & individuals completing rehabilitation treatment (aftercare accommodation).
Additionally, we offer move on accommodation of various types, including self-contained units.
As a 'Supporting People' provider, our support network is regulary assessed under the Supporting People Quality Assessment framework.
More than just basic housing, we provide homes where a person can gain comfort and support from sharing and interacting with others in a similar position.
We can offer self contained flats and studios for those who have demonstrated the potential for living free of support.
A dedicated maintenance department ensures all residencies are well maintained and are nice places to live.
Referrals for aftercare accommodation are via the Bournemouth Assessment Team, the Drug Intervention Program, Prison Resettlement teams, the Gateway probation scheme, and other treatment supporting providers. Residents can stay at aftercare houses for up to a year.
Referrals to the single homeless unit are unrestricted and includes self-referral.
We also provide medium grade supported wet housing for higher risk clients.
Residents can progress from one property category to another as they advance towards independence.
