Mission Statement
DKB exists to help the vulnerable and disadvantaged.
Our goal is to provide supported accommodation and an environment appropriate to the individuals needs, giving them the opportunities to move on to stable, independant living when ready.
We believe in the right of the individual to be treated with respect and due regard at all times, and adhere to a comprehensive equal opportunities ethos.
We aim to offer the highest possible quality of service, reflecting the diversity of service users needs.
Operating in the Bournemouth area, we are partly funded by the UK Government 'Supporting People' programme and work closely with the following organisations:
The Department of Work & Pensions
Bournemouth & Poole Colleges
Kingston Maurward College
National Probation Service
Bournemouth Assessment Team
Our organisation was established in 1991, so whatever the particular problem, we have years of experience in helping those in need.
All that we ask is that service users have a genuine desire and commitment to change their lifestyle for the better.
DKB helps people to help themselves.
